Details:

Your AR-15 rifle represents a tremendous investment and says a lot about you as a person. To maintain your prized possession, you will need to replace worn or damaged parts at times. One of these replacements may be your bolt carrier group. When it is time to replace your bolt carrier group, you should take a look at this LANTAC Enhanced BCG.

Bolt carrier groups (BCG), play a large part in managing the gas system of a semi- or full-auto weapon. Because of the extreme part they play in the operation of a firearm, it’s important to choose a replacement carefully. The M16 style BCG can increase lock time, and enhance the reliability of your rifle. An improperly staked gas key is the worst enemy of the competitive shooter or the law enforcement officer. If your rifle should start short-stroking in the middle of a competition or a shootout, you risk the loss of points or your life. The gas key for the LANTAC BCG is properly staked at four points with grade eight fasteners.

What is So Special About This LANTAC BCG?

The nickel boron coating of this LANTAC bolt carrier assembly is applied with the advanced UCT EXO process for superior lubricity and a Rockwell hardness of 82-85. The re-designed forward facing gas ports enables it to operate more efficiently and to better tolerate a suppressed barrel. All the critical components of this product have been hard turned/ground to ensure durability.

The LANTAC E-BCG's forward porting and unique shape assist in reducing pressurization inside the upper receiver that can be caused by short barrel rifles running suppressors. However, it should be noted that the E-BCG is not a complete solution for this issue and all rifles are different. 'Over Gassed' guns will suffer to a larger extent from this problem.
