When every ounce counts, you’ll shave off a little weight anywhere you can. Battle Arms Development brings you another option with their Lightweight Ambidextrous Safety Selector. The same great quality and design as the original BAD-ASS, but in a lighter version. This version of the BAD-ASS safety selector still features both standard and short levers that you can swap at will, but they’re machined of lightweight 7075-T6 Aluminum to save on weight. The Design has been refined to feature a skeletonized core for a little less mass without compromising size or function.
Just like the original BAD-ASS safety, this version allows most shooters to operate the safety selector without changing their grip. The levers can be installed interchangeably on either side so you have a piece that offers ambidextrous operation, the left-handed operator is no longer left out in the cold, even when they want a low mass option. Battle Arms Development found a need and then filled that need with another patented B.A.D. product.
The Battle Arms Development Lightweight Ambi Safety Selector uses a steel safety center designed for zero to 90-degree operation on semi-automatic systems. When you order your BAD lightweight Ambi Safety Selector, you’ll get your levers, two Torx Screws finished in black oxide to match the black anodized finish of your levers, the safety selector detent spring and a hardened stainless safety detent supplied by KNS precision. They even include a T-10 Torx key to put it all together. Battle Arms Development wants you to install this component and get on with your life. No need to hunt for a lost tool, they put it in the package.
