If you’re an action shooter and you’ve been looking for an ambidextrous safety selector for the AR-15 or AR-10 platform that has the ability to change your game, we’ve found a little magic that’s easy to tap into. The Elftmann Tactical AR-15 / AR-10 Ambidextrous Speed Safety is a drop in cross-bolt safety that easily replaces your standard two-position rotating safety selector.
The ELF-ASS is so easy to use you’ll wish you’d installed one a long time ago. The Elftmann Safety operates intuitively. As a right handed shooter, you’ll simply extend your thumb up a little from its natural resting spot and you can give the ELF-ASS a little love tap to send it into firing position. Sending it back to safety position is as easy as indexing your trigger finger just a little higher than you probably already do. Just swing up a little from the natural resting position near your mag release and give the ASS (Ambidextrous Speed Safety) a little push and you’ll get immediate results. It doesn’t require anything that could be considered real force to go either way, just a little pressure with the side of your digit and the ELF-ASS changes position smooth as silk.
When you’re in a game where every fraction of a heartbeat counts, the Elftmann Safety can be the edge you need to show the competition that you’re the man. This isn’t the kind of safety you want hanging around on a loaded rifle in the field, but for those applications where you need a safety that’s as fast as you, you’re really gonna like the Elftmann Tactical AR-15 / AR-10 Ambidextrous Speed Safety. Just slip it in and we know you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic elf ass
I liked the idea of a push safely selector versus the traditional switch. installation is the same as a regular safety switch. be sure to lube the o-ring to prevent it tearing.
Well made, installed easily, little stiff to operate, requires a little more pressure to move from one side to the other, above average audible click when operated
I use this on a precision AR10 and I love the push safety. If you are 100% programmed to typical AR controls this will not be the part for you.
This safety selector is great. It was simple to install and is ingenious in it's design.
I understand the need for a selector switch...just not on anything I'm allowed to have. For a civilian market, the AR-15 just doesn't really need a selector switch. This safety is quick, easy and pretty foolproof. The quality is high, as is the fit and finish. I purchased the SS model and am about as happy with it as I can imagine.
I love all the new innovations that the ar platform has brought in to the gun world in sence of rapid engagement with selections of ambi-everything, light-weight, in every color possible. But for me the throw type safeties just dont cut it for me i like the good old fashion one quick 'pop' and u know its go time.
