The traditional AR-15 / M16 trigger guard leaves something to be desired in the way of finger space. It can be difficult to fit your trigger finger in, especially when wearing winter gloves. Fortunately, Phase 5 Tactical has presented a solution - their Winter Trigger Guard.
This guard has a wide outward curve, giving you much more space in the trigger area. Your heavy gloves will no longer be an impediment thanks to this innovative design. It is also helpful if your AR-15 has an extended bolt release lever. A layer of type-III hard coat anodize protects the metal from the elements. The unique silhouette of this piece will bring some striking aesthetics to your AR-15 lower receiver as well.
The Phase 5 Tactical Styled Winter Trigger Guard comes in: Black and Red finish.

Love the fit and finish of this guard. It has been the easiest I have installed and gives a different look then the other options. Would love to have it in blue to match the other blue furniture, but I wouldn't choose a different option because of the color.

Fit perfectly on my DPMS. Looks great, much better that the factory guard.

I love the look. Very nice, It is different and different is a good thing when we all try to make our AR platform weapons look personalized. I would say that It would have been awesome to have a choice of OD Green or Dark Earth etc. I would have taken the OD Green to match my Diamondback 556 pistol. I would also mention that the guard fits tight very tight. When I say tight I do not mean the width in the pockets but I mean the length. The holes are a bit too far apart and I had to do some filing of the shoulders or the guard at one end in order to force the holes together a bit in order to set the screw and the spring pin. The filing does not show but it was a tight fit. The platform I use is Stag and Stag has been been around a long while and they make good lower forgings. I own three of their lowers they are robust and in some areas are thicker, and filled in where others leave empty space. example you cannot use a rubber wedge in a Stag lower to thighten up the two halves, its all metal there in the rear of the lower forging, there is no room.
