Strike Industries Mass Driver Comp for Gen 3 Glock 17 & 19

Details:

We’re in a rut. The firearm industry has defined compensators the same way for almost every firearm for so long that we’ve almost forgotten that there may be a better way to do things. Strike Industries has made it a mission to move beyond that status quo and their treatment of the compensator for Gen 3 Glock proves that. The Strike Industries Mass Driver Comp isn’t just another can tied to the end of a barrel, this compensator changes everything.

What Was Wrong with a Traditional Glock Gen 3 Comp?

Traditional compensators are static, they’re threaded directly onto the barrel of the firearm. That means when the weapon is fired, the mass of the standard barrel mounted compensator is just another addition to the mass that reciprocates with the cycling of the firearm. To put it simply, it’s just that much more weight thrown around when the gun is fired. This is particularly a problem with handguns, where a Glock Gen 3 comp can represent a significant addition to the overall mass of the weapon.

Strike Industries Mass Driver Comp is Next Generation Technology

Strike Industries isn’t afraid to break rank. The design team at Strike Industries knows when it’s time to make their own way. While the physics concept behind the Mass Driver Comp has been around for years, this is new tech where compensators are concerned.

The Mass Driver Comp is mounted on an extended guide rod with recoil spring. With this design, the Compensator is independent of the barrel and body of the firearm and reacts to the forces on firing by acting as a counterbalance as it separates from the rest of the firearm. The compensator still mitigates motion through the management of gasses expelled on firing, but the additional mitigation of recoil through the mass driver action is a game-changer.
