  • Poor machine work on the inside of the clamp.

Everything worked and fit fine on the replacement one that I got except for the bottom joint of the clamp. The whole bottom of the joint had two lips on both sides of the joint that feels smooth to the touch because it's anodized. From what other reviewers said I was expecting to feel a sharp burr, but it's just a raised lip that will scratch your barrel as you put it on. It scratched my barrel a bit so not too happy about that. I was in a hurry to get the rifle working for hunting season so instead of sending this one back I used a rat tail round file to remove the two high spots on both sides of the joint. On the original one that was sent, one of the screw holes on the clamp portion was drilled too deep so the screw had nothing to purchase against and slipped right through the hole.

Great price but you get what you pay for. Needs to be debured or it will leave deep scratches in barrel.

Because of stupid PA big game laws, I used this with no gas tube to make a manual AR for my two young kids to use. Finish is very nice and looks like it will very easy to tune once the time comes. However, as I was sliding it on there must have been a burr on the inside as it scratched the gas block barrel seat. Not to concerned as the barrel was a $60 BCA barrel and I can always break down to cerakote it later. But if it was an expensive barrel I would likely have been irate. Make sure to check for burrs before installation, otherwise I would recommend.
