*First position on buffer tube will be lost due to the extended length of the Enhanced Castle Nut
Strike Industries has made a name for itself addressing needs that are frequently overlooked by the rest of the firearms industry. With a reputation for attention to detail, you can bet that when Strike offers a parts kit, it’s something special. Strike Industries’ Enhanced Castle Nut and Extended End Plate kit is no exception. When you install these pieces on your rifle you’ll wonder why someone didn’t do it this way sooner.
When you order a Strike Industries Enhanced Castle Nut (ECN) and Extended End Plate (EEP) kit you’ll receive an Extended QD End Plate and an Enhanced Castle Nut and a set screw for simple installation of the takedown pin detent.
The Strike Industries EEP includes a Quick Detach Sling Swivel Mount in the center where it functions ambidextrously. The mount has been repositioned from the traditional placement, eliminating the risk of painful pinches to the webbing of the operator’s primary hand. You’ll handle your weapon more confidently, even in close quarters, because you don’t have to worry about painful accidents due to poor ergonomics.
Strike designed the ECN to better support the threaded part of your receiver’s extension and match the length of the Extended End Plate. The result is a better looking, more secure and functional ECN/EEP kit that you’ll be happy to have on your rifle whether you’re out on maneuvers or at the range.
Strike’s team of engineers and craftsmen has done it again with the Enhanced Castle Nut and Extended QD End Plate. They’ve made simple changes to small parts that others overlooked and improved the operator’s experience in the real world.
Note: Receiver Extension Tube (RET) may become damaged if EEP is installed on RET and then forced far enough rearward to allow full threading onto Billet or polymer lower receivers that have a RET support flange with a depth greater than 0.503."
Fit great. QD mount works with my sling mounts. Looks cool. The anodized color looks great with the FDE furniture.
Yes; this part is anodized as the ad states. Not cerakote!
These strike industries end plates and castle nuts are great, if your building a custom high end AR these are a must, I've yet to find a better part for that area of my rifle for that "tricked out" look.
Better yet , for all those FDE rifles, wing tac is the only place you can get this in dark earth, by the way they shipped it immediately ..
I only wish I could upload a picture of how awesome my ar is, these details make all the difference, the best things cost a little dough unfortunately, but you wont regret it
Does exactly what you want, and looks great. Tight lockup and stays tight.
Extremely well made as are all SI products and looks great on the gun. Only problem I had was that I installed it at the same time as I was installing a set of Cross Armory Quick Pins. There was not enough space for everything to rotate into place to secure the buffer retainer pin so I had to do a lot of filing of the end plate tab to get it to fit. If I wasn't installing the Quick Pins, it would have installed very easily.
It is awesome. It looks good, provides a single point sling attachment, and it is easy to install. I highly recommend it! Color looks amazing too!
I've purchased 4 or 5 of these things now, and will continue to add one to every Ar setup into the future. A+++
The castle nut looks great especially on a colored buffer tube and the extended end plate serves its purpose great.
The end plate provides a QD Port in the perfect position to avoid being pinched. The castle nut supports the weakest portion of the receiver extension-preventing breakage. All in all a great product combination.
