Your AR-15 / M16 rifle represents a tremendous investment and says a lot about you as a person. To maintain your prized possession, you will need to replace worn or damaged parts at times. One of these replacements may be your bolt carrier group.
Bolt carrier groups (BCG), play a large part in managing the gas system of a semi- or full-auto weapon. Because of the extreme part they play in the operation of a firearm, it’s important to choose a replacement carefully. The increased mass M16/Full Auto style BCG can increase lock time, and enhance the reliability of your rifle.
An improperly staked gas key is the worst enemy of the competitive shooter or the law enforcement officer. If your rifle should start short-stroking in the middle of a competition or a shootout, you risk the loss of points or your life. The gas key for the LANTAC Bolt Carrier Group is properly staked at four points with grade eight fasteners.
The nickel boron coating of this bolt carrier assembly is applied with the advanced UCT EXO process for superior lubricity and a Rockwell hardness of 82-85. The re-designed forward facing gas ports enables it to operate more efficiently and to better tolerate a suppressed barrel. All the critical components of this product have been hard turned/ground to ensure durability.
The LANTAC E-BCG's forward porting and unique shape assist in reducing pressurization inside the upper receiver that can be caused by short barrel rifles running suppressors. However, it should be noted that the E-BCG is not a complete solution for this issue and all rifles are different. 'Over Gassed' guns will suffer to a larger extent from this problem.
LANTAC E-BCG, ...Introducing our new E-BCG Bolt Carrier Group with forward port...
Not worth it

After just under 2k rounds the finish is wearing and discoloring. Not uncommon but its not uniform in normal wear areas its sparatic across the carrier. The cam pin has wear grooves in it. The bolt itself looks like bolts that have significantly higher round counts. Maybe its just the one i got but that isnt very reassuring either when im spending this much i expect a product with significant qa/qc screening. Ill be contacting lantac as well.
Third time buyer...I guess I like it

I have not unlimbered my new Lantac Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group as it is for a future build. I do have two in service one with only 2000 rounds fired and the other barely a hundred + rounds. Not a lot by most standards, but enough for me to realize it works very well. I do not know if it would work well in a full automatic, as I don't have a full auto, but I think it would work fine.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Extremely well built. If the new designs are as good as they say then this would be excellent addition to any ones AR.
