There are a lot of upgrades available for the shooter who wants to improve his AR-15. Many of these upgrades are designed to reduce felt recoil or improve issues caused by poor fitment or sloppy design in standard Mil-Spec components. If you’re looking to improve upon the standard buffer assembly in your weapon, look no further than the Armaspec Stealth Recoil Spring Buffer Assembly.

Advanced Design, Reduced Friction, and Recoil

The Armaspec Stealth Recoil Spring Buffer is an advanced revision of the standard buffer system. Instead of a single large buffer spring and buffer weight crashing around loose in the receiver extension, the Stealth Assembly features a two-stage recoil spring assembly that eliminates the excessive violent movement of traditional buffer systems as well as the friction of uncontrolled parts inside the buffer tube.

The Stealth Assembly is kept under continuous tension against the BCG. An o-ring is incorporated into the head of the buffer to eliminate metal to metal contact. The dual springs of the Stealth Assembly are held in place by a central rod, operating in two stages to absorb excessive recoil force. Since they never touch the inside of the tube, the springs won’t make extra noise or wear prematurely like those in traditional buffer systems.

Drop-in Ease, Reliable Performance

The Armaspec Stealth Spring Assembly is designed to easily replace the standard buffer assembly in your AR-15 with no extra modifications or special receiver extensions. Its dual-stage operation allows it to operate smoothly, with less recoil and fewer failures than other buffer systems. When you replace a Mil-spec buffer and spring combination with the Armaspec Stealth Buffer Assembly, your accuracy and follow-up speed will improve and you’ll spend more time at the range than on the bench.

These actually work well, was a bit skeptical at first. Heard friends raving about theirs so I got a couple. Very smooth and very quiet. Love it.

  • Armaspec captured spring

These work great, 1/2 the price of the JP captured spring. We pretty much only shoot suppressed anymore so we really started to notice how loud the twang of a recoil spring can be. These stealths make a huge difference when shooting suppressed and they are reasonably priced. If they were say...$50 instead of $80 I'd put one in every AR we own. Although, definitely worth the $80 to throw these in the rifles that get heavy rotation. Get one, you wont be disappointed.

  • Seems like a great alternative to a standard buffer spring

Posted by Todd on 10th Dec 2018

Installed this on a 7.5" pistol build with an adjustable gas block. I only have 100 rounds through it, but what a pleasure to shoot. I will probably replace the buffer spring in my others with this as well.

  • Same quality as the similar JP style Buffer assembly

Posted by Erik Olsson on 16th Nov 2018

Great quality and about 1/2 the price of the JP Enterprises captured buffer assembly. I ended up going with the H2 variant due to using a pistol length gas system and wanting to better control the very high psi due to timing and the fact that the Armalight gas system was designed around a rifle length gas system. The is a little heavier than a simple buffer assembly but the assed weight is not a problem because the entire firearm is very light even with optics. As is with BUIS and reflex optic (Meprolight M20) it is still under 7 lbs. If you are a 3 gun competitor r simply want a more progressive recoil impulse I highly recommend this part.

  • Seems nice, have not used it yet

Fit and finish is beautiful. Seems like a great idea. Have not had a chance to shoot with it yet. We’ll see. But it looks great and fits perfect.

  • Easy upgrade

Installed the H2 on my .300blk 10.5" barrel with pistol length gas system. Runs flawless. Lowered recoil and spring is very quiet. Under half price of its competitor! Highly recommend.

  • Valkyrie buffer

Installed in a valkyrie . Very smooth kept tube pin. Was stiff to cycle with charge handle at first but after 100rds much better. Went with heavy h3 6oz and with adjustable gas block doesn't come off target at all though scope .
Wing had this item in mail and shipped to me immediately excellent customer service!

  • Works as intended

Posted by JP on 30th Mar 2018

Very well, quality product. Easy to install. I have seen other reviews (not here) stating that you must remove the buffer retaining pin to properly install part. If you read the description on Armaspec’s website it says it can be installed with or without the pin in place. I left mine on and everything works perfectly. It is considerably quieter and may help with felt recoil although in my case it was hard to tell the difference.

  • Only Spring I Use In My Personal Rifles

Posted by Walt on 18th Mar 2018

This is truly a great product. Tjebrifle seems to run tighter with less recoil. Several people using my rifles commented on how they felt and performed better. I use this spring in my personal guns and recommend it to people I build guns for.
