Do you remember when the ambidextrous selector first came out? It was a novelty to some, a necessity to others, and a repulsion to the rest. Now, they're everywhere. However, the Fortis SS FIFTY Safety Selector takes the ambi selector to the next level. First, it's medium in length. That means it's long enough for you to reliably work it. Additionally, the Fortis SS FIFTY Safety Selector is not so long that it will interfere with your grip.

How Can A Safety Selector Be Cutting Edge?

Well, cutting to the chase, the Fortis SS FIFTY Safety Selector uses a patent-pending RidgeKey locking mechanism. Instead of using a set-screw on the side of the lever to secure the mechanism, Fortis designed a new way to skin a cat. The RidgeKey Fortis Safety Selector has a detent at either end of its core. A detent pin is tightened in from the end of the lever. Then you have no visible screws to mar the levers surface. That's a touch of class, not a blast of flash. Simply add a dab of blue LockTite to that detent pin, tighten it. And forget about it. That Fortis Safety Selector isn't coming out until you take it out.
