The team at Fortis Manufacturing has devised of a clever way to pack some extra functionality into an otherwise featureless component on the AR 15. The reason why this product is so unique is because this Quick Detach End Plate combines a sturdy end plate with a sling mount.
The Fortis Quick Detach End Plate is made of 6061 aluminum and is coated with black Mil-Spec anodizing. The bottom of the plate features a quick-detach (QD) sling mounting socket, which is fully ambidextrous by design, and no special model is required for left-handed users! Also, all edges of the plate are rounded off to avoid putting wear on your sling.
With this innovative accessory installed, there is really no need for awkward mounts that attach to your stock and get in your way. The QD sockets attach the sling in the most ergonomic position on your AR-15 / AR-10 platform rifles. So if you want a functional and sturdy end plate that comes along with a QD sling mount, order your Fortis Quick End Detach Plate today!

or a few other things, The Fortis, unlike the Magpul QD endplate, is perpendicular to the buffer tube and unobstructed, I like those ergonomics a little better than Magpul's. Magpul has a slight angle to theirs with a protective ridge on either side. I have both and would buy either, but I prefer (Personal preference) Fortis

I have other AR's with the Magpul QR endplate and while they are well designed, sometimes you need small change. This Fortis endplate plays a little better with my ATI Scorpion grip which has a bigger "Beavertail"
