The Rex Silentium Tactical Low Concussion Rifle Muzzle Brake for 5.56 /.223 is machined from quality U.S. steel. It measures just 2.25 inches long and 0.90 inches in diameter and weighs in and 5 ounces. This Brake has no external radial ports so it doesn’t have dust printing issues. Instead, this CQB muzzle brake manages recoil using linear baffles. It’s effective without the concussion blast that makes so many devices unsuitable for shooting in small spaces or where team members are close by.     This muzzle device works for me. It does reduce the concussion of the 223 round when shooting a shorter barrel AR style weapon. Also, while it isn't a noise suppression device it does project the sound to the front. I like the size and weight of the device, too.

    I have one of these on my ar 15 (5.56) and one for my ar10 (in 308). The muzzle blast beside and behind the rifle are mitigated quite well. People who go shooting with you will appreciate this device. I don't really notice much in the way of recoil management, but I don't think it's bad without anything attached. The real benefit, I can't say enough, is the lack of the Shockwave directly around the shooter.
