Details:

Left-handed users of the AR-15 won't be out in left field any longer thanks to the Norgon Ambi-Catch! This device consists of a lever mounted to the left side of the receiver and a pin attached to the mag release. When installed, it serves as a magazine release button on the left side.

The Norgon Ambi-Catch has deep serrations to provide a no-slip depression surface. The button is also located on the same horizontal axis as the standard mag release button. The lever, base, and pins undergo a strenuous hardening process to ensure reliability.

When this ambi magazine release lever is at the home position, it is completely recessed inside of the magazine catch slot in order to avoid snagging on gear or clothing. The Norgon Ambi-Catch is a must for left-handed shooters or right-handed shooters looking to implement ambi magazine change techniques.

Having installed and tried the three end-user aftermarket ambi mag releases (norgon, Troy, KAC), I think that Norgon is the best. Two reasons why I think this. First, after install, it doesn't use the receiver to pivot the catch whereas Troy and KAC do. I noticed that on my previous builds that after a while of use of those two, it began to wear the finish. Secondly, the angle of manipulation is better. What I mean is that when using your left hand index finger, mag release activation is easy. With the KAC, you're required to angle your finger in such a way that manipulation is awkward and heavy. The Troy has a pivot release feel similar to Norgon but it's just a bit further away and if you don't have large hands or long fingers that may be problematic. Norgon's are about $30 more than Troy and KAC but well worth it in my opinion.
