  • Carbine Length AR-15 with Delta Ring and Round Handguard Cap

Although the American Build Arms (AB Arms) MOD 1 Handguard weighs in at only 4.5 ounces, it is heavy on useful features.

The ergonomic hand grip zone serves as a natural gripping point while the textured surface and hand stops on both sides prevent your hands from slipping during rapid fire. AB Arms' unique formula of heat-treated nylon and high-strength fibers provide unparalleled durability with favorable heat dissipation properties, not to mention considerable weight savings. The two-piece design allows maximum air circulation around the barrel, guaranteeing a cool touch even after hundreds of rounds. This handguard integrated with six locking pins, allowing it to fit rock solid on your AR15. It also accepts Mil-Spec rail sections, allowing you to mount foregrips, flashlights, or lasers. No gunsmithing is needed for installation; it simply drops in on your carbine length AR15s.

  • Nice for the Price.

Installed on Adam Arms A3 piston upper. Nice, snug fit, good design, perfect clearance for piston. 4 stars as no instructions in packaging. "Must install top handguard first. Then bottom to line up posts and gain clearance for rod sping stop."

Very lite weight. Excellent contour to your hand. Textured grip is nice and not too ruff. Easy to install.

  • Looks good, haven't field tested yet

Just got this installed yesterday and a bit tricky to install without the tool, but manageable. I've noticed just the slightest separation in the front portion of the grip. But again, you have to recognize what you're paying for...this isn't a free floating rail, bolt-on front grip. This is a simple and quick (albiet much cheaper) fix than putting on a free float. The texture of the grip is great. Plenty of traction, but not as abrasive as say, the stock pistol grip my gun also had (which I replaced with the FAB Mako contoured grip) it feels comfortable. Additionally the slight hand stop towards the front provides a subtle but much-needed lip, keeping your hand from sliding forward. It feels much better than the stock front grip and looks proportional to the lines of the rifle. Until I decide to drop big money on a free float rail system with numerous rails, this looks to do a stellar job of providing more accuracy, comfort, and control of the gun.
