Building an AR pistol is a fairly simple affair, but building one that you’re really comfortable with and shooting it well can be a little more complicated. One way to give the shooter more control over the accuracy of an AR pistol is to equip it with a stabilizer. There are plenty of options on the market for the average armorer to choose from, but if you want a no-nonsense, lightweight pistol brace that works and won’t cost you an arm and a leg, the KAK Shockwave Blade Pistol Stabilizer is an easy pick.
The KAK Shockwave Pistol Stabilizer is a lightweight, blade style pistol arm brace that installs on most standard pistol buffer tubes in virtually no time. Simply slip it into place on the existing buffer tube on your AR pistol and lock it down with the included set screw.
The KAK Shockwave Pistol Stabilizer is constructed of super-strong, fiberglass reinforced polymer for durability in the field. Its sleek design is easy to handle, unobtrusive and weighs less than half of the Sig pistol stabilizer. While it does have a similar appearance to many simplified AR stocks, this Blade style stabilizer is designed to provide support while shooting one handed. Simply brace the Shockwave Stabilizer’s fin against your inner forearm while shooting. If you’d like to add a strap for more security there are multiple slots integrated into the design of the Shockwave Pistol Stabilizer that will accept a sling web or another type of strapping system of your choice. The KAK Shockwave Pistol Stabilizer is ATF compliant when used in compliance with its original design intention.
The KAK Shockwave Blade Pistol Stabilizer is manufactured in the U.S.A. and veteran designed for ease of use in real world situations.
Very happy about this stabilizer

I installed this stabilizer on my 8" AR pistol build. It was very easy to install and looks way better than other stabilizers on the market. Fired 2000+ round with this thing, no issue at all. Love it!
I've changed my mind... Went to the range.

I thought this would work, felt solid... But... I maybe put 30 rounds down range before this broke loose and slid back and forth. It was tightened EXACTLY per the directions too. Very disappointed. Waste of $$.
Don't see this as necessary

I picked this up to check it out, as it was on sale. I thought of buying a couple, but have since changed my mind. I now have a good dent in my pistol buffer tube... Does it stabilize an AR pistol? One handed shooting I could see this working. However, I've been shooting AR pistols for about 14 years, with a lot of range time and thousands and thousands of rounds. I think the buffer tube works well if you stabilize on your cheek, or rest it on your opposite elbow between the handguard and mag well. I haven't shot it yet with the stabilizer, but for one handed use I definitely think it will help. However, I doubt I'll ever use it single handed as the other two methods work very well. But just in case, I do have one on one of my lowers.
