FAB Defense Magazine Well Grip

Details:

Over the decades, AR-15 users have discovered that wrapping the support hand around the magazine well is highly conducive to precise weapon control. Unfortunately, the shape of the lower receiver makes this rather uncomfortable, and the pressure placed on the magazine may cause malfunctions. FAB Defense designed their Magazine Well Grip (MWG) to solve these problems. If you're accustomed to using a forward grip, the idea of holding the mag well may seem a bit awkward. However, anyone who has been involved with Military training will be quite familiar with the mag well as a point of control. The FAB Defense magwell grip weighs next to nothing and gives you an optional fighting stance when the situation arises. When it comes right down to it, running a magazine well grip opens up your options. You can either adapt and overcome, or fail.

Why Choose The FAB Defense Magwell Grip?

Once you get used to using an AR-15 magazine grip a world of possibilities is added to your shooting game. The tighter stance that a FAB Defense magwell grip gives you greatly enhances control and speed of target acquisition when running CQB drills. Of course, let's take it to the other extreme. When you switch to precision, long-range shots using a bipod, an AR-15 magazine grip provides a quick, solid stance. Or if you live in a state that does not allow you to install a forgrip on your weapon, and your handguard is too short to mount a angled grip, the FAB Defense magwell grip is your best option.

The installation process does not require a gunsmith or any precision fitting; you just slide the grip onto the receiver and tighten the retention screws! The textured finger grooves give you a solid hold on your weapon. In addition, the bottom of the piece is flared, making magazine changes much easier. It is made out of fiberglass reinforced polymer, so it won't add unnecessary weight to your weapon. It even has a window so that the serial number of the receiver can still be read when it is installed.

Why Buy Your FAB Defense Magazine Well Grip From Wing Tactical?

Now, there are many knockoffs around, but don't you be fooled by them. When it counts, you want the quality of a FAB Defense AR-15 magazine grip in your hand, and you want to buy it from a reputable company like Wing Tactical. A authentic FAB Defense magwell grip is constructed of a tough polymer material meant for the harsh operating environment you will encounter. Sometimes you have to think outside the box. If this magazine well grip is the only thing you have to use and all of a sudden you need a barricade stop, the cheap knokoffs will not do the trick!

  1. Good product, tight fit but didn't require altering 4 Star Review

Looks great on the gun, I like the secure feel to it. As other have commented, it's a very tight fit. However, I was able to get it to secure to the mag well by fasterning the front two screws first, then using a clamp (large visegrip would also work) to apply pressure on the middle/back half so the hind screw could be tighten easier. I didn't have to force the grip to fit, but without an extra set of hands to help hold stuff, the clamp simply allowed me to focus on not stripping the screw.

  2. had to modify 4 Star Review

Looks good on the rifle but I had to do a little modifying to get it to fit. Took about 5 minutes but it was worth it.
