When you build a custom rifle, there are a lot of things that can get overlooked. If you bought a stripped upper for your build, you get just that, a naked upper with no extraneous parts. That’s great, it means you can choose every one of those small parts that will make your rifle truly your own. It also means that you don’t have an ejection port cover. In the real world where dust and dirt are literally everywhere, that can be a problem. So you have your dust cover, but something’s still missing. That stripped receiver didn’t come with the small parts you need to install a port cover, and the port cover didn’t come with them either. Spike’s Tactical has your back on this one, they offer an Ejection Port Cover Installation Kit that includes the parts you need.
The Parts You Need, All New
In the past, if you were going to install an Ejection Port Cover on an upper that had never had one, you might have had to call a buddy and see if he had some held over parts, and then pray the old spring still had the tension to make things work. If you broke your old spring or lost the retainer clip you were in for one of those blind hunts that always ends up being far more hassle than the whole project should require. With Spike’s Tactical Ejection Door Installation Kit, that hassle is out of the picture. When you buy a kit from Spike’s you get the door pin, spring, and c-clip al together in one kit. They’re all made from quality U.S. materials and ready to install right out of the package.
The Spike’s Tactical Ejection Door Installation Kit fits flawlessly on virtually any AR-15 upper and makes installing your dust cover a breeze. Whether you bought a custom engraved plate, or you're reinstalling a stock plate after a complete strip down, you can be sure that the parts in this kit will make your installation smooth as glass and allow your system to function as intended.

OK..its a port cover pin and spring..Yeah it fits, it works.
But the USPS lost mine. Fell out of a heavily damaged box from Wing Tactical.
Sent an Email to Wings' CS at 6pm CDT, told them what happened.. The response, about an hour later was a tracking # with the new port kit headed my way. Gotta love it!
