If you've spent much time around muzzle devices, you know that most of them aren't worth throwing away. They might do their job, but man, they are aggravating. You don't need that headache in your life. If you're tired of fooling around sub-par comps, you're ready for REX. REX Silentium works, and it’s designed to work with you.

Without being vulgar, that means less can be more, and simplicity is king. How aggravating can an ordinary Glock muzzle brake be in practical use? Do you have time for set-screws, thread-locker, and a comp that shoots loose? No, you don't. Well, the REX Silentium Glock comp relieves you of all that hassle. Instead, all you need is some common sense and a wrench. Really, and I bet you already have both. Pick the REX Silentium Glock comp for your gun, crank it down tight with a wrench, and get ready for some fun.

Buyer Beware

I hope this is your first pistol caliber muzzle device. Because once you shoot through a REX Silentium Glock comp, it’s the only one you will ever want. The REX Glock muzzle brake adds a profile to your gun that belongs there. This brake doesn't interfere with the sights on your weapon or its guide rod. You will feel a significant reduction in recoil and muzzle rise. But that's not all. In case you ever go there, this comp is rated for full-auto. That means instead of spray and pray, you will drill and thrill. But, what about all the other pistol caliber comps you already have? Well, don’t you throw them away. Those old comps will make great Christmas presents for your shooting friends that you don't like.

Purchased this for a Taurus G2C with an extended threaded barrel (aftermarket) with the understanding that there would possibly be a small amount of machining required because of the minor differences between the Taurus and the Glock it was designed for. Rather than modify the baffle that struck the recoil pin (Just barely) I purchased a shim kit that set the compensator just far enough forward to clear the pin and was unhappy with the additional length and wound up grinding a groove at the back base of the baffle to clear the pin and it works flawlessly. The brake does everything you want in a 9mm with reduced recoil (if that's and issue) but more importantly a huge reduction in climb/flip and I am able to recover in half the time to get on target for a follow up shot. It also performed well on a KelTec Sub 2000 9mm. Even with the wide baffle, it fits nicely inside a concussion can to redirect the noise away from those around you at a range. It's a 5 star rating with one star off for the modification for the Taurus and. realistically, it should be a 4.9 star. Well worth the price.

Fit well and shipping was fast within the week fast! Product is not worth the price tag unfortunately metal is on the cheap side. Not worth 50.

Slight but noticeable recoil and less muzzle lift. Makes re-acquiring faster on rapid fire. The loosing issue is easily fixed by adding a drop or two of Blue Locktite 243. Good up to 360 degrees, oil-tolerant, medium-strength. Also I installed a 1/2" hot water O-ring on gun end (Won't melt). You can get 100 of em at Amazon for 4 bucks. The whole thing removes easily with 11/16 wrench for barrel removal. You will need the 13 lb spring for 115g target rounds, factory spring works well with high power rounds.

Posted by Looks nice but could use design improvements... on 20th Dec 2020

Purchased the Glompensator from Wing Tactical for my Glock 20sf (10mm). Service and shipping from Wing Tactical was excellent as usual and arrived promptly. I mounted the muzzle brake to my brand new Glock 20sf. As part of this I purchased an AlphaWolf threaded barrel and 15 lb ISMI recoil spring and guide rod (lighter spring recommended by Rex Silentium). Set-up is very attractive and looks very sleek on my G20. Recoil management is okay, somewhat noticeable relative to shooting without a brake but not as effective or noticeable as putting a brake on an AR rifle. My major disappointment, and noted by another reviewer, is that the brake does not stay tightly screwed together (it is a two piece muzzle brake). The loose fit resulted in my recoil guide rod rubbing along the bottom edge of the brake (which had slightly turned), removing the finish and some metal off the brake after a 50 round range session. Like the other reviewer, I’ll have to find a washer to help keep it tightly screwed on.

  • This is a decent product.

The only thing is I wish they’d use better coating.

I love the fact that you don't need a setscrew, but at the end of the day, you kind of do. The brake works itself loose under fire. This problem could have been solved in the factory with a crush washer that fits between the two parts, but for some reason, it doesn't have one. Fixed it with a rubber O-ring from the hardware store, because I couldn't find a washer narrow enough. But I shouldn't have had to do so.

Once you can get it to stay on the gun, it's great. Very flat shooting. I can now keep my red dot in view throughout the recoil cycle. Without this device, I would lose it in recoil, and have to reacquire before I could shoot again.

  • Awsome comp

Had to get a low power recoil spring kit for it, but it was totally worth it.
