Why would you ever want to make any part of your Glock something other than stock? Well, many people would brand you as a heretic for even considering it while others seem to change everything possible. Well, before you make the jump into skeletonized slides and crazy colored match barrels, maybe you should start with something small. That something is a Glock back plate.
Cover Me Crazy
The Glock back plate does little more than keep the firing pin and extractor spring in the slide. However, this is one change that is low-cost, quick, and easy to make yourself. Granted, some alterations to a stock weapon can be risky. Fortunately, changing the L2D Combat Glock slide cover plate is virtually risk-free, even for the novice. There is hardly anyone that doesn't appreciate some small feature that personalizes their things. In this case, the L2D Combat Glock slide cover plate is something you will see every time you fire your Glock. Looking at your Glock back plate is another thing that you should address.
First, Do No Harm
It’s no secret that the standard Glock sights leave a little to be desired. You shouldn’t do anything do take away from the stock Glock sights. Therefore, if you want to try a slight test upgrade, consider the slide cover plate. If you change to a cover plate that is flashy and distracts your eye from the sights, that could be problematic. The L2D Combat Glock slide cover plate is beautifully made, but it’s not a distraction. This cover plate proudly wears the L2D combat logo allowing your eyes to gravitate to the sights naturally. Hey, if somehow you hate it, you can change back in a flash.
