If you’re looking for a muzzle device for your AR-15 that manages muzzle rise and recoil well, but you’re not a fan of the way a large device looks and the negative effect it can have on the balance of your rifle, we’ve got a treat for you. The Strike Industries Sail Comp is a whole lot of control in a small package. It’s perfect for those of us who don’t feel that our compensators need to make a statement anywhere but at the target.
The Strike industries Sail Comp may be understated in appearance, but don’t underestimate the performance you’ll get from this little gem. The advanced design of this compact muzzle device allows it to handle the job just as efficiently as many of its larger competitors. The sweeping shape of the single baffle in the Strike Industries Sail Comp directs the gasses produced on firing to effectively control both muzzle rise and recoil. You’ll have solid control of your muzzle, and less cause to grit your teeth before you squeeze the trigger. That translates into more accuracy and better groups down range.
Strike Industries’ craftsmen precision machine the Sail Comp from quality steel to provide you with a muzzle device you can count on. As avid shooters themselves, the folks at Strike Industries know what you want and need to make a day at the range or in the field a success. The Sail Comp is threaded to ½-inch x 28 and ships complete with a crush washer to ensure secure application. It weighs just 3.35 ounces, so it’s a great choice for you next low mass build. It’s just 0.98 inch in diameter, so it won’t be a cumbersome addition to your field rifle either. Strike Industries Sail Comp, small size, big impact.
Best comp ever

I am on my second build and am wondering why anyone would use any other comp. I will be purchasing another sail comp for my previous build. I absolutely love this comp.
Better than many

I don't know what the other guy was talking about other than he hasn't tried many brakes/comps. This thing is tiny, very short. Yes, it's loud, it's a brake! I've run literally more than a dozen different types of brakes and comps to get that perfect 'push' rather than rise. Maybe it's the rest of my setup too, because with a flat buffer spring, heavy buffer, and M16 weight carrier with a 10.5" barrel w/carbine gas system, this thing is FLAT! Bonus: it adds almost no length to your rifle.

Newbie to the world of AR15. However, I wouldn't recommend this item to anyone. #1 it's extremely loud and #2 hardly any help in taming my rifle on rebound, repurcussion, or and reason I purchased it for. Don't waste your $59.00 bucks if your looking for less recoil.
Buy a King Comp by Strike if you're wanting to quell your recoil for a very good price. Its the bomb!
