Details:

If you are looking to build a lighter weight competition AR-15, the lightweight bolt carrier group with an adjustable gas key from Rubber City Armory is for you. Unlike a gas block, the Rubber City Armory Adjustable Gas Key allows you to regulate gas pressure directly at the bolt carrier group (BCG) without any need to remove parts. The RCA Adjustable Gas Key works with two set screws, one allows you to limit the flow of gas and the other to lock-in the setting. Limiting the gas flow means softer action and less felt recoil, allowing you to lineup follow-up shots quickly and easily.

I Am Not A Competition Shooter, Why Do I Need An Adjustable Gas Key?

The adjustable gas key is not only for competition shooters, it is for anyone that wants a softer shooting system and a longer weapon life. Normally, a stock AR is over gassed to ensure it cycles reliably. But this will cause the weapon to wear faster and more felt recoil. Traditionally, an adjustable gas block is the best way to fix the over gassed problem. An adjustable gas block is a great option, but what if you have pinned and welded your muzzle brake? With the adjustable gas key, you do not have to remove your muzzle device to replace the gas block. All the adjustment is done in the gas key.

Will the Gas Key Only Works with A Lightweight BCG?

The Rubber City Armory Adjustable Gas Key allows you to regulate gas flow on either low mass lightweight or standard mass full weight BCG. The two set screws allow you to limit the flow of gas at the BCG with the first set screw and then lock that adjustment in with the second set screw. Using the RCA Adjustable Gas Key to limit the flow of gas enhances your control, allowing you to achieve better shots and closer groups.
