Details:
A muzzle brake only works when its ports put expanding gas to work. The Mission First Tactical EvolV 8 Port Muzzle Brake takes a straightforward approach, using three large lateral ports to push gas sideways and counter the rifle's rearward movement. Two smaller ports on top address a different problem, venting gas upward to help keep the muzzle from climbing.
Together, those features are intended to make a 5.56/.223 rifle easier to keep on target, particularly when the pace picks up and sight recovery matters more than how the rifle feels during a single slow shot.
Slim .750" Profile Keeps Things Clean
At 2 inches long with a slim .750-inch profile, the MFT EvolV 8 Port Muzzle Brake doesn’t have the oversized look of many multi-port brakes. That makes it easier to work into streamlined AR-15 builds where a bulky muzzle device would look out of place.
The brake weighs 2 oz, keeping additional muzzle weight reasonable.
Designed To Manage Gas And Sound Compression
The open port arrangement gives propellant gas plenty of room to escape. Along with controlling recoil and muzzle movement, MFT designed the brake to keep sound compression low rather than trapping excessive gas around the muzzle.
For shooters who want brake performance without an unnecessarily complicated design, the layout is easy to understand: large side ports for recoil, top ports for muzzle rise.
416 Stainless Steel With Black Nitride Protection
MFT machines the EvolV from 416 stainless steel and applies a black nitride finish for added surface hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion protection.
A mil-spec 17-4PH pre-hardened stainless steel crush washer is included, so you have the necessary timing hardware ready for installation.
For a 5.56/.223 build where flatter tracking is the priority, the EvolV offers conventional brake physics in a notably tidy package.
