Details:

If you’re shooting an out of the box AR and are fine with it, then leave it alone. However, if you want to change the length of the stock, building an entirely new weapon, or just want to make sure you avoid failure, then this is important. Don’t overlook how important a quality stainless steel castle nut is. Throw that stock castle nut on the workbench, use it for a paper-weight and install an Ascend Armory Enhanced Castle Nut.

It’s Not the End of the World, Just the End of Your Day

This isn’t like trying to validate the purchase of a crazy expensive match-grade barrel. However, if that little old castle nut fails to do its job, then that high-end barrel won’t help you at all. You really don’t want to depend on a plain, cheap steel castle nut to keep things tight. An Ascend Armory Enhanced Castle Nut is made from beefed-up 303 stainless steel right here in the good old USA and warrantied for life.

It’s Not A Vampire but Stake It Anyway

Especially if you depend on your AR for self-defense, it has to perform each and every time. If you tighten an Ascend Armory Enhanced Castle Nut onto your Mil-Spec buffer tube and then stake it in place it will be there when you need it. Also, if you ever need to remove it, this stainless steel castle nut has more meat in its walls and it’s tough, therefore, you can crank it right over that staked portion and use it again. Hello, lifetime warranty, Ascend Armory didn’t put that on this stainless steel castle nut for just kicks.

I'm writing a review about a castle nut, because it's just that sweet of a castle nut. Serially. The castle nut alone makes me want an Ascend receiver set too, actually. It's well-made.
