Details:

When you get tired of a simple upper receiver takedown being an ordeal and a hunt for the missing punch, you do have a couple of options. You could hire an Armorer to follow you around, however, this option is a bit pricey so, you probably should consider installing a set of Easy-Pull titanium takedown pins.

Getting the Upper Hand

If you’re one who likes to tinker and try new things like swapping uppers around just to see what happens, you save a lot of time by using a set of V Seven Extended Takedown Pins. Perhaps you have uppers with different optics for varying range conditions and a swap is necessary. Leave the punch alone and give those titanium extended takedown pins a pull, just like that apart she comes. This is one modification that no AR-15 should be without, it’s just that obvious. Using V Seven Extended Takedown Pins will make your life much easier and your time on the range flow better.

They’re Handy Without Being In The Way

Your new Easy-Pull titanium takedown pins leave exactly enough head exposed to get a grip on without hanging up on everything. Thinking like a shooter, V7 Weapon Systems designed your V Seven Extended Takedown Pins to work with what a shooter needs. These pins positively engage and lock your receiver in place, yet still release easily. The exposed surfaces of your titanium extended takedown pins have no sharp edges, therefore, repeated use won’t leave your hands raw. No doubt, the titanium will keep up with the lifetime of repeated use, and the takedown pin will live up to its’ lifetime warranty.

These pins work well and are definitely more convenient compared to milspec pins. Easily started/popped by hand from the left side, they are comfortable to grip and pull the rest of the way. Pulling these pins without starting them from the left is possible, but difficult due to how close the extentions are to the reciever when the pin is all the way in and the resistance of the retention detents to being removed from the deeper recess'. They are very light, but don't feel flimsy or fragile and were well machined and well polished (I got the plain TI finish, not the black). My only complaint is that the shape of the extention is such that it blocks normal use of a left handed safety lever .This must be endemic to all extended takedown pins due to their location though, so it's a tradeoff all extended pins have and not an issue with this product in particular. The lever is only partially obstructed so it can still be used, but is uncomfortable and requires a workaround technique to use the ambi safety effectively. This would be less of an issue when using longer/extended safety levers with an ambi safety. V7 makes a great pin set that I would definitely recommend to right handed shooters, and even to left handed shooters who want frustration-free upper-from-lower dissasembly and don't mind the effect on safety manipulation.
